"Sthira Sukham Asanam" Yoga postures should be steady and pleasant.
Patanjali Yoga Sutras 2.46
On and off the mat, finding appropriate balance can be a challenge. How much effort? How much ease? When we can achieve balance of these qualities in our Asana practice, our bodies find the middle and there we feel grounded, centered and light. It is in this place that we can tap into our strength and inner power.
Effort and ease do not just apply to our Yoga practice, they apply to our lives and the work we do off the mat. When the mind is focused and collected on balancing effort and ease, the possibility of awakening expands.
In this workshop, we will explore how to find the middle and cultivate the felt experience of balancing effort and ease.
Appropriate for all levels of practice. The workshop will include discussion, meditation and a yoga practice. Light refreshments and community to follow.
