Healthy bones are critical for our movement, strength and balance. We need to build bone health while we are young to support our muscle structure and prevent osteoporosis, and as we age we must challenge ourselves to continue moving in ways that support growth, counteract arthritis, and stems bone density loss. This workshop will provide information and yoga exercises to educate you on maintaining and increasing the health of your skeletal structure. Bring your questions--there will be discussion, movement, handouts, and healthy snacks provided.
Patti Zolnick E-RYT 500, IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist She is a Body Balance Certified Teacher with Jenny Otto and Body Balance Yoga Therapy completing a 500 hr program in Annapolis, MD. She is a certified Prajna Yoga teacher, with Tias and Surya Little, completing both their 200 and 500 hr training and rigorous testing for certification. Patti continues studies with all her teachers, frequently assisting in yoga teacher trainings She is certified to teach the Essential Low Back Program with Robin Rothenberg. She is one of the few yoga teachers in the country certified to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis with Dr. Lorin Fishman. Patti loves alignment, but likes to keep her classes approachable and light. She combines clear, precise cues and an intention to have each student leave feeling wonderful. Outside of the studio, Patti is a fine art photographer and runs workshops integrating yoga with photography in the Santa Fe area. She is also an avid hiker!
