What happens to your health, cognitive functioning and decision making when you are under constant stress and pressure? And what happens to our ability to view and respond healthfully to life challenges when stress and trauma go unprocessed?

 A dysregulated nervous system profoundly affects our entire mind-body system. Bottomline - stress is not the enemy. How do we work with, not against, the inevitable stress and trauma that are part of the human experience?

 This frank and candid conversation offers a neuroscience-backed and mindfulness-based introduction to awareness, emotional regulation and compassionas they relate to your performance and well-being...on and off the mat. It is designed to provide a foundation for participants’ further study and skills practice.

This interactive workshop includes discussion and skills practice to answer these questions:

  • What is/is NOT mindfulness?

  • Why train for attention?

  • How can I work with disruptive thought patterns?

  • What are ways to integrate mindfulness practices into the daily rhythms of my life?

  • How can I use these practices on my yoga mat and work with my inner critic?
